Call me crazy but I think they can pull it off on 360 without sacrificing too much. They said RTSes can never work on a controller yet they managed to work around it.

(Though Mouse+Keyboard and/or Joystick is by far the best configuration for Mechwarrior)

No they didn't. Did you play the RTSes on the consoles? They would single-handedly set RTSes back about 15 years if they were the standard....

They do a cosole version of this thing and the MechWarrior series has officially turned to crap.

I thought Halo Wars and LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth II had a decent control scheme.

Of course, as I said thesewere workarounds and not standards.

This was actually intended to discuss the whole series which is basically a PC staple but whatever..

Both games were actually very weak as far as RTSes go. Good thig they aren't making too many of those utterly simplified games.

Me... big fan of the MechWarrior Series... I hope the PC version rocks...
