On topic, I hope they do remake FF V.. but not VI. For some reason, VI in the IV style is... less charming? not as good? I dunno, I just can't imagine that.

People said the same thing about IV in the III style, and they turned out staggeringly wrong.

Though there's no guarantee it would be on the DS anyway, I suppose.

I hope you're right. I've heard so many good things about FFV. I'm willing to play it for the Gilgamesh battle theme alone at this point.

I just can't imagine Square not doing V and VI. The engine is done. So much is basically a cut and paste effort for a few cool million in sales.

Exactly.  S-E will continue remaking their stuff for as long as it continues selling.

Talk about whether or not they're going to is nonsense.  It's just a matter of when.

I suppose in a sense that this is a more a matter of doubt as to whether or not they're finding remakes as financially fulfilling as re-releases and late ports.

Yeah I think I should give V another chance. I only really enjoyed the music. Second best music in the series.
