Yeah the fishing rod has ruled, ever since Link's Awakening. And Twilight Princess's motion control overhaul on the fishing made it even better.

Does the Fierce Deity Mask count?

If not, then that huge ball and chain from Twighlight Princess. That solved all sorts of problems, I didn't want to use my sword ever again once I got that.

The Double Clawshot is the coolest item ever. I absolutely loved it. In fact, Twilight Princess' take on a couple older items were pretty awesome (the Iron Boots being fully realized as opposed to just having you sink in water (OoT) and be heavy enough to depress switches (OoT/WW).
