As much as I would like it, I'm sure Nintendo will lose the software wars this holiday from 360. Wii's upcoming game list is A but 360's definitely A+.

Are we talking US million sellers, or what?

Either way, Need for Speed: Pro Street (which usually does the vast majority of it's business in Nov/Dec), Army of Two, and Ace Combat 6 all have great shots at cracking 1m before the year is over.

It doesn't say "US million sellers" just games that sell over 1 million during this holiday season.
It will be 5 to 8, so seven isn't some crazy prediction, it will probably happen:
Mass Effect, Halo 3, GH3, CoD4, Assassin's Creed, PES 2008, NFS:Prostreet, AC6.

I doubt Assassins creed or The orange box will pass a million, on the 360, as they are multiplat


There's no reason why multiplatform games will not sell a million on the 360 alone -- many already have. Orange Box has already sold nearly 350,000 copies in the US alone and it's only been out two weeks. I would be deeply surprised if it doesn't hit a million by the end of the holidays.

And I would be just as surprised if Assassin's Creed on the 360 doesn't outsell the PS3 version 2.5 to 1.

Assuming it IS worldwide:

 - Halo
 - Bioshock
 - CoD4 (should?)
 - Mass Effect
 - Guitar Hero III
 - Assassins Creed (maybe - it had better!)

I'm not too sure about either Fifa or Pro Evo. They tend to sell better on PS systems in Europe, and neither will do that well in the US.

NFS usually sells well over Xmas, but the market is pretty "racer flooded" at the moment. PGR4 hasn't broken 100k in the US!!

Good chance for The Simpsons game.

Rockband will not get even CLOSE, and may struggle to sell 100k. I also very much doubt that AC6 will get close - based on previous series sales.

I presume they aren't including Madden? Are they talking sales over Xmas, or total sales?

...

It could be a good battle with the Wii:

 - Galaxy
 - Guitar Hero III
 - Mario & Sonic
 - WiiPlay (another 1m over Xmas?)
 - WiiZapper (easy 1m)
 - RE:UC (maybe?)

Simpsons, Star Wars, NFS Pro Street... does PES (Wii) hit this year? Ghost Squad? NiGHTS? Could Zak & Wiki sell? Metroid will end up doing 1m WW - but not sure if that counts.

...

The PS3 will struggle to get 1 - probably R&C biggest chance, Uncharted might do it (still pending reviews...).

 I doubt The Orange Box will hit a million on Xbox360 alone. RockBand releases on November 23rd. I doubt it will have enough time to hit 1m too (especially with that high price point). Agree with the rest, though.

Any list has to include Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I know it is a multi platform release, but if you have children, you are going to buy this game. I have a blast playing past iterations with my children and my son has already asked for it for Christmas. Lego and Star Wars! Huge numbers. Wasn't Lego Star Wars II the number three best selling title in 2006 (across all platforms)?
