EH I was just answering to the guy claiming only 5% of gamers liked pretty graphics.
Based on the HD console adoption, having a console that is able to output stuff like U2 or Gears seems to be important to more than a few percent of the gamers out there.
People need to stop acting like everyone is on a crusade to get the Wii when facts are, this gen, half the gamers haven't gone for the Wii.
And it turns out that those gamers usually are more active in the community and are more involved in votes and stuff for Goty....

Just a short answer (i'll try, for once): half of the home consoles gamers haven't gone for the Wii? You're sure?
Maybe some people like you only have one console, PS3 or X360... or like me, only have Wii (and DS)... but when you look at many users here on VGC, you often see Wii as their second or third platform... or the other way around: PS3 or X360 as their second and/or third platform...
Many "hardcore" gamers are more open-minded than you or me, or maybe just have more money to spend on hardware... but anyway, "multiplatform gamers" is a sure thing, and so i can safely say that nealy 2/3 of ALL the home console gamers have gone for Wii, as the different userbases are sometimes mixed...
And my last point: it's a huge Wii userbase, and i still don't understand why a multiplatform owner is "hardcore" when he has PS360, but suddenly becomes "casual" if he owns a Wii as well: if you consider that type of gamers, plus the all the "core" Nintendo gamers, there's really a market and a lot of potential for "hardcore" games on Wii as well... now, if only more good games could be made... but that's another point...
