Forums - Nintendo - DSi LL also coming to US and Europe in Q1 2010 Nintendo confirms.

Realistically, I don't think teens and twenty-somethings are really the market Nintendo was aiming for with the DSi LL ...

When my mother (who just turned 60) mentions that she has difficulty reading her iPod, and Nintendo is certainly targeting seniors with the DS, it makes it clear that those of us with good "young" eyesight may not have the same requirements from a device like this as more elderly people. Now, I know people will think she needs "better glasses" but her eyesight was checked for her driving licence and it is fine (and she still reads books using the bifocals) but there is something about small LCD screens that makes it difficult for her to read them.

Well, this continues my pattern of almost every other Nintendo portable. I have a Game Boy, skipped Pocket, got Color, skipped Pocket Color, have Advance, skipped SP (and Micro), own a DS, passed on DSL, and finally bought a DSi. So this DSi2 is an easy pass for me.

.......DSi is the best DS. Why is it bad?

So essentially, the DSi LL is the equivalent to the telephone with giant buttons then?

This looks ideal for me and my huge hands. Games with button controls have me constantly readjusting my grip to keep it in my clutches, and I already have an SP for GBA games.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

okay nintendo have gone way too much.

Yep pretty much, but it's surprising about the number of people that can't fathom it huh.

Right here.

I find this just as worthless as PSPgo.

I wouldn't say that the DSi LL is to that extreme ...

Regardless of how people feel about companies making decisions with seniors in mind, the baby-boomers are at retirement age and it is very likely that seniors are going to be a highly targeted group for quite some time.
