There's not many fans of the true GTA games, everyone just likes the shitty 3d games
Late port
PSP is failing hard in America lately

No, without a doubt it's a very good GTA experience.

But working with big franchises like GTA is hard. First rule of thumb - don't rock the boat, if you do smth untraditional with the franchise - fanbase may react negatively. I bet even being in top-down perspective compared to third-person view of previous portable GTA games is sufficient reason for not so core GTA fan to skip this title. It's a shame 'cos it won't encourage developer to do further experimentations with franchise, it's likely they will return to traditional formula.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

But it's not old style really. It plays a lot different. It's an incredibly awesome new style. I hope it sells like crazy on on the PS network. Because the better it does, the more likely we'll see a DS/PSP sequel to the new GTA series.

 

I'm sure Rockstar would like to have their own two parter mega series (like Call of Duty and Call of Duty Modern Warfare).

It was cheap to import, each additional sale they get is a plus, and these types of games get huge legs.

It's got a metacritic score of 91. Sigh... I guess quality mature 3rd party games no longer sell on the PSP. Confirmed flop. Seems like ze hardcorez crowd that initially bought the PSP has abandoned it.

Ok, now all those Ds fans who were offended can strike back..

I know its on PSN.I know PSP is pirated.I know its ported.

But 12K in America for so high rated game is just crazy.

GTA CW did 64,611 on Ds in America.

LOL at people blaming piracy, DS has piracy too ya know and the people that his games was aimed at are the audience most likely to pirate on DS ;)

The game is doing poorly mainly because of the gameplay style.

Wii has piracy.
Xbox 360 has piracy.
DS has piracy.
PSP has piracy.
PS2 has piracy.
PS3 does not.
I still do not know why people are still BSing the PS3.
