Forums - Nintendo - Miyamoto loves Star Fox disappointed in series' declining sales

Wow, Miyamoto is really showing his age in that picture....

OT: That's a shame. I really liked these games. I had Star Fox Adventures and Assault as well as Star Fox 64. Hell, I'm, still waiting for a Wii release of a Star Fox game.

This is the true definition of owning.

I don't see Command as a true StarFox game. Way too short and odd. I was talking about the Rare dissaster.

The two most popular Star Fox games by far were the first two, and they were both developed by Nintendo EAD.

Stop outsourcing the damn series, Nintendo.

Who cares if the series is dying in Japan? Most of the sales come from outside Japan, he should know that already.

Look at the Metroid franchise for example, dead in Japan, but selling millions outside.

To me it looks more like an excuse than anything else.

Star Fox 64: 4.03

Star fox Adventures: 1.88

Star Fox Assault: 0.82

Star Fox Command: 0.72

Forget Krystal, forget the furries. Just reboot the series with Star Fox 64 with online mode and presto.

Star Fox 64 - 88%

Star Fox Adventures - 82%

Star Fox Assault - 76%

Star Fox Command - 67%

What does that tell us?

This exactly.

I really wish that they hadn't turned Adventures in to a Starfox game. That way, people would have viewed it as an awesome game in it's own right instead of "not what we were expecting" and Nintendo would have another great franchise to work with, instead of damaging the reputation of one of their biggest franchises.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

What does that tell us?

That Nintendo should buy metacritic?
