Hey, I just wanted to point out a great little website devoted entirely to metal interpretations of classic Metriod tunes.

Pretty talented lot. High quality performance and production value. They stay true to the spirit of the songs, but bring to them a brand new flair as well. And they're free for download. I particularly love the Boss Medley for Super Metroid. Crank it!

Ah, oh well. Hopefully some folks who didn't catch it will now. Great stuff.

Edit - They added a new track from Metroid 2 last month. Beautiful. I think Return of Samus was my favorite Metroid game of all time... It's the only game that was ever actually mainly about the Metroids at all. It really puts you in the role of the Metroid exterminator.

I'm not a big metal person really.

I can like a lot of it though...and this stuff's alright. I prefer the more techno-like Metroid remakes though.

Nah, everyone has their personal tastes. I'm sure I'd enjoy some of the techno remixes as well, though.
