I thought that maybe since the god of war games are some of sonys best games many people who own a ps3 may buy this because many people dont have backwards compatability.  plus it is in hd. I am considering buying it. anyone else?

It will sell because current fans will pick it up cause it's the definitive versions and new players will pick it up because of the hype for God of War 3.

ya, looks like a good pick up. wish that it had better boxart though. I never have played the first 2 though. I heard that they are great games. should look real nice in hd.

All I know is I didn't buy a PS3 to play PS2 games.

This is why hyped game piss me off, i'll buy it because i never owned the PS2 versions (was to young lol and my family actually followed the "M" for mature game rating.) but its sad that games like Chaos Legion or VP2: Silmeria will never see remakes for PS3 or even PSP because they weren't popular enough... grrrr....
