I'm fine with the red, really can't see the problem. Also sony has it's red color on pretty much every site on the net, changing it won't be really logical.

Also: RGB (red green blue) are the basic key colors

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Hmm ok..

I agree with the OP. Red is reasonably hard to read against the dark grey background. I think they should either change the colour or put a different colour background behind the text.

no issue for me

thats and ad, it's not grey with blue. with "it's only does everything".

i agree. it should be muted down a little atleast

GUYS GUYS GUYS, this has nothing to do with sony not being associated with red, I'm fine with it. Red's perfectly fine for Sony, I like it. I like it on the Recent News and everywhere else on the site.

It's the red color used in the "Hot Topics" portion of the main page. The background and the red color seem very similar somehow and they feel like burning.

It's also the same foreground background combo that is shown on the console badge over here

Red catches people's attention, and is often used either in a negative way to indicate danger and emergency, or in a positive way in advertising to gain more viewers, or in nature, as a ripe fruit announces its readiness with its red color.[29] Several studies have indicated that red carries the strongest reaction of all the colors, with the level of reaction decreasing gradually with orange, yellow, and white, respectively.[30] Because of this, scientists have repeatedly recommended red for warning signals, labels, and signs. Because of these recommendations, red has seen widespread use as a danger signal, in stop signs, to warn people of extreme heat or flammability, and even to signal warnings in sports such as soccer (see: penalty card).

in stadistics, as polls and graphics it's used to make the user believe such item or person it's dangerous.

the color for the playstion brand its not red

the only time red was used ps3 in the american playstation site, PSP is yellow, Ps2 is blue. it's purple for europe

but now they are using for the PS3 Blue.

I updated the OP, please read it before posting more off-topic material
