Been playing 3D Dot Game Heroes now for a while, got to the part after the Aqua Temple (with every boss No Damage and Bestiary Entry too).

It's been a pretty amazing game, but Dash Run is one of the worst mini games ever conceived. For one point alone = Utter crap Dash collision detection. I mean, if one of your freaking pixels even touches a part of the scenery, you get instant bumped and stopped.

I just wasted 3 hours trying to get the last race under 60 s. That was almost impossible, and it took me a almost perfect run to go to 58. The problem is that you need to do both records in the first and second race to get a Sword.

F*** that I say >_>

Wait till you find out that you most likely did it for nothing... >.<

Really?

Isn't there a trophy for getting all Sword?

Well, if you do everything by the book you probably could, but it will require a lot of grinding in Block Defense to collect Small Blocks.

Have you done all the sidequests so far and revisiting From Cave after each dungeon?

Yup, to keep on par with the Mecha 3D game right?

Block Defense isn't hard, especially if you use the early stages to evolve to higher levels and use crystals for Bonus Up

Yeah the Mecha Game.

If you want to do like 30 extra game of 40 wave Block Defense then go ahead. I may end up doing the same now since I spent most of my blocks already and swords don't carry over.

That means I need to go back and try to beat the 2nd course for Dash Circuit... I hate that mini-game.

Isn't there a faster way to farm blocks?

A crystal slime that I killed early on in the game dropped one.

The game is pretty much dead in Japan and EMEAA, selling 34 and 1,293 units respectively, but in the US the game continues to rise!

The game will hit 100k in the US LTD next week and looks to be a shoe-in for at least 200k LTD seeing as how it is currently at ~140k.

250K or more isn't even out of the question and considering the game was made by a very small group in a span only just 10 months there is a good chance we may just get a 3DDGH2!!!

Celebrate with me! America LOVES 3DDGH!

You could farm them from Blue Dragons, but they are deadly and they rarely drop them.

That's awesome!  I'm glad this game was successful, as I'm really enjoying it.  Haven't really put many hours into it, but I think I may change that tonight.    And it would be cool if there was a second 3DDGH.  I wonder if they would take on old school platforming with retro graphix.  That would kick ass.  Maybe even throw in a level editor, ala LBP.  Then we could recreate some old platform games (Super Mario 3 would be awesome with these type of graphics.)

I've found out that in the desert near the Desert temple, there's a screen that the Blue Dragon spawns often. Near where he spawns, there's a staircase, if you can lure the Blue Dragon there, you can strike him in the middle of the staircase and he can't strike back (if you have a full powered sword with Pierce).

Makes for an easy 100 Gol/small block farming, even if the drop is rare. I'll do a comparison between the ratio of small block gain in block defense vs Blue Dragon farming when I can.

3DDGH was originally supposed to have a level editor but it was cut out.

3DDGH2 will undoubtedly have one, you can be sure of that, plus Silicon Studios has plenty of ideas in the pipeline for exciting retro gaming!

This game was their test to see if they should stick to middleware engines or go into game development as well. Seeing as how they can make these games so fast - probably even faster next time since 3DDGH was their first attempt at PS3 development - we can probably look forward to more of these, especially in the US.

I am so happy with these sales right now, you have no idea. It is nice to have someone giving gamers like me something like this when I have been begging Nintendo to give it to me for 15 or so years.

Long Live Silicon Studios and From Software, and thank you Atlus for being so awesome and bringing it to me!!

I just pray they don't put crap like Dash Circuit in any of their future games, if they decide to make any.

I hate that shit.

Ditto. When I did Dace circuit I thought it wouldn't get worse.

Then Manaco came...and wasted 3 hours of my life trying to shave 0.5 seconds of my time to get under 60 seconds >_>

Completely agree.  That game pisses me off so bad.  The other mini-games aren't too bad, though.  My fave would have to be Block Defense.
