Forums - Sony - 3D Dot Game Heroes "Definitely" Coming To America

Im sure this is gonna be a great game but as im seeing it right now is way too trippy with all the blockings lol. My eyes just need to get use to it before picking up a copy hehe

Hopefully Atlus.

They put out some neat extra stuff almost every time.

Looking forward to: FF Versus XIII / LBP2 / The Last Guardian / Yakuza 4 / ICO Collection

This game only needs text translation, so expect a quick localization.

It would be best for them to do so while interest is still HOT!

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Nice, good news. This game looks rocking

SCEA will not be publishing this by the way, they already said so. They just spread the word because the publishers allowed them to.

Atlus has already been contacted. Odds are that it is either Atlus, Ignition or XSEED.

My money is on XSEED though. They are the only ones who did not comment when asked about a possibly localizing it.

Damn, looks like Sony is giving ATLUS publishing rights to their games in order to secure Persona 5's release exclusively?

This game isn't even a Sony game...it's published by From Software in Japan unlike Demon's Soul which was published by Sony.

I'm actually unsure about this point.  IGN seems to believe that Sony are the publishers

and I can't find anything definitively one way or another.

@Torillian

SCEA already stated that they will not be publishing 3D Dot Game Heroes in the US. They only announced this today because the publisher said they could do so.

Sony's Jeff Rubenstein told Joystiq that SCEA will not be the publisher, but the actual publisher allowed the news to be "leaked" on Twitter. He couldn't say who the publisher was or when we could expect the game, though he told us that more info will appear on the PlayStation Blog. We would speculate that it's the company who published the last (surprisingly successful) From Software PS3 game, Demon's Souls, and who deals almost exclusively in this kind of niche Japanese product: Atlus, whom we're contacting right away.

I read that as well, I'm just curious if Sony has some hand in Japan publishing like they did for Demon's Souls, or if IGN has them as the publishers because they misunderstood this announcement.

...

Well all I know is that in Japan the publisher is From Software and in the US the publisher is not SCEA.

I am pretty sure IGN is wrong.

Okie doke, you've read up on it more so I'll defer to your knowledge on this one.
