Ok, here are the totals below, but the figures only include the Japanese sales for the GBA version of the first Legend Of Zelda, if we knew the worldwide total it may top Ocarina!

Until you include Virtual Console sales, where OoT has another million+.

Of course, the original Zelda has a lot there too, but probably not enough to make up the difference.

Khuutra has a strong point, if you're going to count the GBA version you have to count every version. Including the version that came with preorders of Windwaker, or however that disk was distributed.

I think it's more sensible just to count the games as they are listed on the site as it would be impossible to do it any other way. Nobody bought Windwaker because their main aim was to play the original, they bought it to play Windmaker, the original was simply a bonus, wheras anybody who bought the GBA version of Legend Of Zelda bought it to play Legend of Zelda.

But people who buy the virtual console version of Ocarina of time buy it to play Ocarina of Time. It should be counted as well.

I agree, but logistically to do this accurately would be near impossible without figures from Nintendo.

Ocarina Of Time / Master Quest should count for a few too
