same, i don't like the new "updated" graphics. 8-bit retro would had been much better. I'm not buying this at all, but i will try it for free because my wii has HBC :)

Awesome! Day one get for me even after seeing that video!
Also, the acting in that video was so terrible I wasn't sure if it was some joke mocking something or not until they got to the actual trailer.

LoL
That was indeed some really bad acting. Particularly the guy. Damn!
But the game looks good.
This is massive news for me. Use to be my favorite game when I was a kid and it still is one of my favorite. I'll be getting it first day for sure. I hope it has new items for the level editor. Already from the trailer it has new track features I can see.
The secrecy is getting ridiculous at times. This game releases in less than 2 weeks and we just find out it exists.
I think Nintendo relies too much on their core fans that they think advertising and hyping is not needed. But then again, they are shrinking the potential market of the core games instead, by only showing the game to a select few, kind of what happened with excitebots, to give you the most recent example. Nintendo needs to expand their traditional IPs to everyone, not just keep them secretly to their core fans.

I agree Nintendo's secrecy is getting ridiculous, but part of the problem is some of their traditional IPs just aren't for everyone. I think you're completely right to say that Nintendo should give their core titles like this more exposure and advertising. With a title like Excitebike World Rally, only the core and those with their Wii hooked up to the internet will find out about this game-unless they start tv advertisements for WiiWare. They're willing to advertise the camera and sound functionality of DSi, as well as Flipnote Studio (in the new UK marketing campaign at least) so why not advertise WiiWare titles as part of their Christmas marketing campaign? The service has some great games, but stuff like WiiWare and titles like Punch Out need more exposure from Nintendo.
Still... This is another WiiWare title for me to consider buying.
