While it isn't surprising (since it happened last year), this is the UK where the 360 has a substantial hardware advantage.

It could be mental programming. PS2 was a beast in sales...so people are used to playing sports games on it.

Despite the fact that Xbox1 sports games had usually better frame rate and graphics than PS2 versions... Or it could be piracy.

We all know 360 sells software, but I guess its got its own groups it is dominant in. I'm surprised about soccer and anything sports as anything multiplayer should be 360's strength.

I've always felt the PS controllers were better designed for football games.

I think it would be fun to venture which console out of the two is taking the bigger chunk of that 39% less YOY total. Maybe 360 owners were more willing to jump ship first on the franchise and PS3 owners are sticking with it.

I like how they casually thrown in that it sold 39% less than PES2009 right at the end.... 39%.. thats a big drop.

You could equally have said that FIFA was a dying franchise 5 yrs ago, but now look where it is. Who knows, in the future thay may amaze us with something special.

Without numbers it's hard to know what that means. The 39% could be a drop of total sales which could have mostly been in the PS2 and PSP market.

Selling 66% of total sales on a single console when that game is available on a ton of consoles really does make that one console shine.

Yes I would like to know this as well. This has been the case in Europe for quite sometime especially with the soccer games. Just check out last year's sales for the soccer ones. I mean these kinds of things can easily be stated in the specific sales thread for weekly chart track or even our weekly sales data threads. Really separate threads for things like this are for when it isn't the norm. Why is neccessary to post this makes me curious as well. I'm pretty sure I know why you do it though, so don't humor me with anything, as this is purely meant to be rhetorical.
