Forums - Sony - My Best Friend Who Is A Loyal Xbox 360 Owner Left Me Stunned Last Night!!!

Wow! I guess I forgot to mention that I actually sold the Xbox 360 that I had after I bought a PS3.  Dang some people are way too uptight on these forums. Some people should try to calm down and breathe A LOT!!

This whole story sounds fishy give me your friends gamertag and I can see if your friend really was a loyal 360 owner.

He never signed up to Xbox Live.

That makes it sound 100x fishier!

He might of had an account at the start, but he definatley cancelled it due to the fact that he has no internet connection in his house, he only has internet connection in a building of offices which is a building outside his house. I remember him telling me that he didn't like the fact he had to take his Xbox & A TV all the way out to the offices if he wanted to access Xbox live. He never was a fan of online gaming anyway.

I'm done trying to explaining myself to you people. Your making too big of a fucking deal over losing an Xbox owner. It's actually scary how some of you are reacting.

I hear Drake calling on me, Uncharted 2 baby..

It's not nearly as scary as the people who jerk off to news of PS3 sales.

I just have one question. If the PS3 "Only does everything" and if you stacked up all the features side by side of the two consoles (including add-ons, XBL/PSN, etc), would it not be accurate that the 360 "Does MORE of everything"?

I just keep imagining this slogan for the next batch of 360 commercials. It'd be both true and hilarious!

I don't really follow... especially now that PS3 has Netflix.

A watered down, disc based Netlfix, Huzzah!

And that was not exactly the only unique feature....

If you stack up all the features of XBL, PSN, Xbox 360, PS3, plus add-ons available to each, the 360 "Does MORE of everything"

Plus it "Does MORE gaming" and "Does MORE entertainment" and "Has MORE fun time"

I didn't really follow the Netflix news (since I wasn't interested in it the first place), I thought you just had to put in the disc, and then you can stream. It's as much as a hastle as putting in a Bluray disc to watch a movie like most people do with PS3s anyway.

Even if we do consider the disc based thing a negative, it seems like a very very tiny weight on the scale.

Can you please be specific with the features and add ons of the two consoles? You take it for granted that everyone knows and understands what you're talking about.

I don't see how it does more gaming (sheer volume of titles are kinda weak, when we're this far in the gen with old games filling up that space), more entertainment seems on par now with Netflix multi, and more fun time seems very subjective.

Can you at least not seem blatantly fanboyish? When I want to be a fanboy, I at least acknowledge and half joke about it, or stealth it in. No one's going to come to your support with that kind of post attitude.

I am not trying to be a fanboy, just comically objecting to the PS3's very misleading and silly new slogan.

I guess if you really feel I need to expand, I shall.

I do agree that the fun time one was subjective.  I also would like to note that I do not include web-based applications with the PS3 because they are not built in features.  The Web Browser is the feature, not the uses of it.  The experiences with the PS3 web browser are also very limited seeing as how it is such a proprietary browser and does not support all the latest online media formats.  With Xbox 360 these are integrated into the online experience itself with unique and smooth flowing interfaces.  If I have missed anything or you wish to argue the point, feel free and I'll ammend the lists.  I would also like to note I am saying irregardless of price factors.

PS3:   Xbox 360:

This is really funny. You are including add-on as feature, would make a good commercial: it only does more of everything*

*disclaimer: when you purchase all add-on to the product and pay to access online store

Faceplate ?!?! really

Xbox have a large and growing games on demand store but not PS3 lol. Nowadays theres a lot more updates on PSN

Last.FM.     PS3 also have radio support

1080 p 5.1 (zune)    PS3 can do a lot more with the PSP

Party chat       Also on PS3

Video parties     Also on PS3

Community and events channel    Also on PS3

Theres also a lot of feature in the PS3 settings that most people dont use but still theres a whole of them, you should take a look in video setting in the playstation cross bar. If you like image quality and have a big screen (I have a 92 inches widescreen) the upscale and video player of the PS3 is by far the best on the market. Im a gamer so I also have a 360 but your feature comparison makes no common sense.

I guess the Xbox 360 is the awesomest. Noone ever feels the need to make a post justifying buying another console when they own the other two.

Tease.

watch him get YLOD. =D

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Actually I was just thinking about the meaning of the thread title.

I think what it really means is that his best friend stunned him with a taser, sexually assaulted him and then when he was about to press charges bought himself a PS3 and that made it all better.

Seriously this thread needs to be locked for stupidity! But its funny enough for now.

Make us all a favor and leave this board.
It stinks in here...

You had the option of not clicking on the thread, but you did anyway, so you can't complain about finding what was obvious from the thread title. Its like seeing dogshit on the footpath, and rather than decide to step over it, you chose to step on it instead, and then complain about it.

Actually his response is more like telling the owner of the dog to clean that shit up.

Your response was just like an assumption that the OP wasn't castrated by his best friend/xbox fanboy and the PS3 wasn't something to build a bridge between them.
