While EyePet was tragically delayed in the US, joining the PS3's stacked 2010 line up, it did hit shelves earlier this week in Europe.  The game looks to be a bit of a surprise hit, according to the popular online retailer Amazon.  The £24.99 EyePet/PSEye combo has topped the PS3 charts, leaving tremendously popular titles like Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, and FIFA 10 in it's dust.  The game/Eye Toy combo places at #3 overall.

EyePet is an interactive agumented reality game that lets you take care of a cute monkey/kitten kind of creature.  The game was expected to have a lot of casual appeal, and it seems like it's hit it's niche well in the UK.  An exact release date for the North American version has yet to be determined.

nope haven't seen an advert. Also the game is heavily discounted on Amazon. Camera and a game for £25. That's like 30Dollars. No wonder its no. 1

25 pounds (don't have the squiggly thing on my keyboard) for the game plus PSEye? That's about $75 in my money and every new release title in my money (without any hardware accessories) comes out at over $100. Sounds like a cheap way to get a PSEye.

How about you pick one up for me and post it out here to the colonies? It'll still be cheaper than buying the game + eye when it comes out here. Then I have half the equipment needed for when the wand comes out.
