Get both. Only, get the 360 first. I love my 360. But if you only get the 360 you will be missing out on some of the great games that the PS3 has to offer. And, then you can decide which console you prefer the most.

It sounds like it wouldnt make sense to watch Blurays in 720p its still way better then a DVD.WAY better.


Some of the ports have inferior Graphics compared to the XBOX360 versions.
But if Graphic matters this much to you. That you make this a point in your list.
You should not forget that the PS3 offers you games which are graphically a lot better then the Xbox360 Games that it should be just logical to choose the PS3.

But Infact its only Important what you want to play. Make a list of the Upcoming and Current PS3/Xbox360 games you want. Give every game a plus or two or three depending how badly you want them. Give a plus or three for every ability of the Console you appreciate e.g 2 plus for Live 2 plus for Bluray. Count all Pluses from PS3 and Xbox360 together. And the Console with the most pluses you should buy.

Hey man, honestly? Halo and Gears of War are 360's 2 biggest exclusive games, so if you're not into them then in my opinion u really have no reason to get a 360. Even if you DID like those 2 games I'd still say PS3, though. Bluray aside (even though the picture and quality is amazing), PS3 has the most and best exclusive games. Basically every one of the 17 games I own for my PS3 is a PS3 exclusive. Here's a list of a few of their exclusives:
1. Metal Gear Solid 4 (One of the two best games I've ever played...neck and neck with Uncharted 2)
2. Uncharted 2 (and Uncharted 1 for that matter...)
3. inFAMOUS (excellent game, excellent story and characters, awesome action and powers)
4. LittleBigPlanet (absolutely ingenious in every way and a BLAST to play with 3 of your friends)
5. Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (and "A Crack in Time" releasing in a few days) - may look like a kid's game, but I had a heck of a lot of fun playing it. I'm 23 years old btw..
6. Killzone 2 (although u said fps isn't ur fav game type.....KZ2 has unparalleled fps graphics and excellent multiplayer as well as campaign)
7. Resistance 1 and 2 (Resistance 2 has best online I've ever played with their co-op mode + a lot of epic moments in their campaign...Resistance 1 has awesome campaign)
8. MLB '08, '09, etc. "The Show"
9. Motorstorm 1 is a real intense offroad racing game, limited gameplay options though.

Oh, and PS3 has an onslaught of upcoming exclusive games. I know u mentioned some of these, but here's a quick list:
1. M.A.G. (256 players online, NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE)
2. God of War III
3. Heavy Rain (as u mentioned...does truly look like it will redefine gaming in several ways: gameplay, emotion, graphics)
4. Agent (PS3 exclusive from makers of grand theft auto series)
5. The Last Guardian (as u mentioned)
6. Twisted Metal PS3
7. Quantum (Gears of War-like 3rd person shooter, so maybe it won't interest u)
8. White Knight Chronicles (RPG)
9. Gran Turismo 5 (although u said this doesn't interest u)

There are more, but I just mentioned the biggest games. 360 does have some positives, but in my opinion, PS3 just blows 360 out of the water, especially with exclusive games and bluray. By my count, 360 has about 4-5 upcoming exclusives, and one of those may actually come out for PS3 anyways (Mass Effect 2). Just my opinion, but I say PS3 hands down.

And I will say this. I don't think people should offer an opinion if it is one sided. If you do not own both or all three systems you can not be trusted with with offering an unbiased opinion. Which I have seen a lot of with this thread >:|

yaknow ONLY a 38...i mean 2 10s and two 9s? thats terrible... OT: i say ps3 you seem more wooed by the exclusives and as for multiplats while its true you may miss some dlc(then again ps3 DOES get the joker) you will get an identical experience with the games themselves and if you like movies the ps3 is the top bluray player plus you save 50 bucks a year for online play. :D

I agree. But then again, these are very good reasons to buy a PS3. Just for this, I would tell u to buy a PS3 just bcus it has a better future vs. the 360. If u asked this exact question a year ago, I would of told u to get a 360. But now the ps3 is $299 and some very good games coming out, I am telling u go buy it. Free online, plenty of gr8 games coming up, and the exclusive lineup is unbeatable. U wont feel dissapointed with the quality your getting.
