Forums - Gaming - Which current-gen console has the best games?

@Carclis:

Funny I was going to say the same thing - only not about MY sister, because I think she'd find a way to kill me. More seriously, more seriously:

Was it those experiences which drew you to the PS3, or did you pick it up for some other reason?

@SimonSaysFYou:

What about those experiences (in Wii games) appeals to you so much?

@Gintoki: Ditto the above question.

Uh, the memories in which I've spent playing them?

Accomplishment is a powerful feeling. I enjoy experiencing it.

STOP ASKING PEOPLE THIS

i mean, really. what are you expecting everyone to say when you ask them this? do you expect him to go into detail about every single game he listed?  damn it, the more i think about it, it just seems like some petty way to up your post count and at the same time act like you 'care'

how could you possibly care? what difference is this going to make to you? asking EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PERSON what experiences do you enjoy the most? what is it about those games that appeal to you? bla bla bla? bla bla bla, bloa bla?

fucking shit, if this is so important to you, just TYPE IT IN BIG BOLD FUCKING LETTERS IN THE ORIGINAL POST. that way you dont have to waste your time asking every person who decides to participate in this god-forsaken thread.

There have been some really interesting, thoughtful posts in this thread from many different members, and I feel like I've learned a lot about many of the posters here when it comes to their gaming habits.

What's wrong with that?

Why should he stop asking people to stay on-topic. If you do not justify your opinion then this becomes nothing more than a retarded list wars. If that is what you want then I suggest creating your own thread. Personally I am happy he does this. I gain nothing if people list off a bunch of games, but can learn something new if they explain what makes those games magical. It should not be hard to quantify hoestly. I threw mine together fairly rapidly by just thinking of which games really stick out in my head.

PS3 has the best games out of the 3.

It has the most and best platformers on it, and that's important to me.

I'm very curious, what platformers do you play on the PS3? I understand that LBP is one of those Platformers that spin the genre on it's head, and the Ratchet and Clank series is always top quality, but I've never heard many PS3 fans tout the console as having the most and best platformers. Don't get me wrong, like I've said earlier the console has some great ones... but I'm just curious because Platformers are also my bread and butter (and jelly).

I figured the PS3 was best for me because I don't really like Halo and RPG's aren't exactly my favourite genre with the exception of Fallout 3. Plus I'm a huge Ratchet & Clank fan. Although the Wii is tempting due to games like Mario and Lenged of Zelda, I don't really like the Wii's controls. I guess this thread is still about games though and not controls, but I still go with PS3.

just to get in on this i have a broken ps3 now but i plan to fix it so i can play uncharted 2 so ps3 for sure

It would have to be either the 360 or the PS3 as of today.

360 for some notable games like Gears of War (1 and 2), Mass Effect and Left 4 Dead.
PS3 for some notable games like Uncharted (1 and 2), MGS4 and LittleBigPlanet.

I can't decide as of 2009 but looking at what is to come on both console in 2010, I would have to go with the PS3 library.
