CGI, Tuscaniman, stop it

I've had this topic going for three pages (with 100 posts per page) with no in-fighting yet and I don't intend to let it stop here.

Tuscani, this is about expressing and explaining your own opinion, not attacking those of others.

CGI, there's no need whatsoever to counter what he's saying.

Oh my God, given your rules, it is Wii HANDS DOWN. There is no way any other system IN EXISTANCE can compete with:

Mario 1, 2, 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario 64
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid
Super Metroid
Metroid Prime 1,2,3 (Trilogy)
Zelda 1, 2, 3
Zelda 5, 6
Zelda TP
Starfox 64
Castlevania 1,2,3
Ninja Gaiden 1,2,3
Excite Bike, Excite Truck
Double Dragon
Adventure Island
Mike Tyson's Punch Out
Super Punch Out
Punch Out Wii
No More Heroes
Muramasa
Kirby's Adventure, Dreamland, 64
MegaMan 1,2,3
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Tales of Symphonia
Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Wii
De Blob
Boom Blox
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy
Super Smash Brothers: Brawl
Super Mario RPG
Mario Party 8
Mario Super Sluggers
Wave Race 64
Super Star Wars 1,2,3
Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort
Super Paper Mario
Paper Mario
Wii Play, Music, Fit
ActRaiser
Contra 1,2,3
DKC 1, 2, 3
MadWorld
Conduit
Kid Icarus
Harvest Moon (SNES)
Final Fight
Wario Ware
Resident Evil 4

I mean, should I keep going? There is absolutely no contest here. The Wii is obviously the dominant console when it comes to who has the best games. And this isn't even counting Wiiware, or the games that are going to come out in the future for VC and Wii, I mean, there is nothing more to say, the Wii is the best.

In my opinion the ps3 has better games. One ps3 game is enough to beat every 360 game: Metal Gear Solid 4. But i want to add Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Infamous, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted 2,... Games which are coming 2010 or later like God of War 3, Yakuza 3, White Knight Chronicles, Last Guardian, Gran Turismo 5... Of coure 360 has excellent games too like dead rising, lost odyssey, etc but most of the 360 best games are american orientated shooting games were you don't need to think and shoot everything you see. i don't say that games like halo or gow are bad but like i said only i-kill-everything-without-thinking shooters...

PS3 is FUTURE!

It might be my imagination but there are guns in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots right? Or did they just put that in the title to trick people? So don't say shooter games are mindless. Yes 360 does have more shooters and it does them better. If you are an FPS fan the 360 is the no brainer choice but I would  argue FPS's take the most strategy of all games. Play a professional gamer in a FPS and let me know how much of a gap there is in skill level. I should know I played Quake III on a pro level.

I could make an argument that for each PS3 game there is a counterpart on the 360 that is done just as well. Each console does have its few select games but as a whole PS3 and 360 are very close. It just comes down to personal preference on a few games and some other factors. Controller and online service make the 360 better in my opinion.

Funny thing is, that's not true. What's the counterpart for LBP? What's the counter for Uncharted? What's the counter for Metal Gear Solid 4? What's the counter for Valkyria Chronicles? Where's the counter for MLB: The Show?

I'm not saying, in absolute, that PS3's library > 360's. But to say there is a counter for every PS3 exclusive is outlandish, as this is NOT the case.

If you would have kept reading I said each system has its select few games. I didn't say it has a counterpart for each and every game.  I would argue Splinter Cell is a good counter for Metal Gear Solid. Never played Valkyria Chronicles and as far as MLB is concerned its a baseball game. Who cares if there is a counterpart, baseball sucks. There are plenty of baseball games on the 360.

Notice I'm not "attacking" posts of people who like the PS3 better. I could care less if they like the PS3's library better, but when i see comments like "the 360's library is full of mindless shooting games", "every game on 360 sucks compared to MGS4", "no reason to every buy a 360" I will have a response.

ACTUALLY, the funny thing is that YOURE BOTH WRONG.

There are NO games that you can name that can compete with the list I just created.

You're right, but see Splinter Cell is also on the PS3 :P and so is MGS4 but it's not on the 360.

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

This is a topic wherein you explain your own tastes. That's all.

Including online game libraries:

Wii > 360 > PS3

Separating each game library:

VC > Wii > XBLA > WiiWare > PS3 > 360 > PSN

VC wins by a huge margin, but I didn't want to be a jerk and type in >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> or anything. That's just all of gaming history right there. It's perfect. If there was a system called the VC that only had these games and didn't play Wii or GC discs, it would still win.

Wii for actually making me buy my first console since the N64, and making me play more games than I did in the SNES era. And almost every Wii game I'm enjoying is an exclusive, and not just due to licensing issues, but because the Wii is the only system that can play it. Whoa.

XBLA for having Braid, Zombie Apocalypse, Turtles in Time, and just way too much stuff to mention. It's doing really really well for itself without having the sheer quantity of the VC, or the Nintendo games. And it's getting great exclusives to keep me jealous.

I would've put the 360 over the PS3 'cuz the 360 had a Katamari and Dead Rising, but now Katamari's on the PS3 and Dead Rising's on the Wii, and PS3 took the lead with ModNation Racers. Oh, and PS3 for Singstar: Queen, which has "Under Pressure," which has David Bowie.

PSN at the bottom 'cuz I don't really know anything about it. I'm sure it has some good stuff, but it's the only thing here that hasn't made me jealous yet.

win win win win WIN WIN WIN WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God, this person really knows his shit.

@ angrypoolman

Your point can be summed up in 'My list is better than yours because I like it better, and your opinion is wrong'.

EDIT: @ Khuutra

Apologies, I couldn't help myself.

What is the point of having a discussion about which console has the best games if you can't converse about it with other people?

Also, did you not expect people to tell somebody why they are wrong and why another system has the best games?
