!!DO NOT TALK ABOUT POSSIBLE PLATFORMS FOR KINGDOM HEARTS III IN THIS THREAD!!

When playing through 358/2 days a while back, I realised something. Will the Kingdom Hearts Story ever end? According to an interview on Gamespot, Nomura already knows how the franchise will end. But I don't see SE letting go of their third biggest franchise.

There are already 4 games released (6 counting the mobile games), Birth By Sleep is coming next year and Kingdom Hearts III will probably be announced somewhere in 2010 (finally!). It does get hard following one story when you have this many games (almost as hard as MGS!), though. What do you think?

Seriously though, I think Nomura has a lot to explore in the KH saga, it has tons of potential, and if BBS is anything to go by, I think it will improve on the KH2 formula. Can't comment on 358/2 days since I haven't played it yet.

everything comes to an end at some point. But in KH's case i dont see it ending any time soon why is that? b/c SE loves milk lol =)

main story, yeah it has too right?

I don't see where they can go after BBS.

Sora's story is over, and BBS will tie up all loose ends.

Either there will be new plot points introduced, plot points unresolved, or a new storyline.

Nomura hinted at another one...I think it might be more Mickey focused.

Well, that's entirely possible, but they have to announce KH III someday to continue the story (although you could argue BBS will do that). It's been over 3 years since KH II was releaed. And if they wait too long they might miss this gen

The current story could end then they'll just start up something new and through the Kingdom Heartz label on it.

His story is over. They were smiling at the letter, which means nothing malevolent was happening, maybe Mickey was saying all was fine. I don't think Sora will be in KHIII. That being said, I think KHIII will have new characters with completely new storylines. 

However. This is certainly interesting.

When Heartless are defeated, essentially the owner's hearts are rejoined with their once extinguished body, whichever world it may be on. As for the whereabouts of hearts in KHII that turn up, this time they remarkably went to the Organization (there is a foot note here that says "In Kingdom Hearts II after Heartless were defeated, the many hearts were absorbed by the Kingdom Hearts of "people's hearts"). However, in the rare case that the body changed into a Nobody, when there is no container for the heart it resorts to a state of suspension. In the case of a Nobody being defeated, it's a little more complicated. If the above mentioned hearts are liberated, they return to their original form. However, if the heart is still stolen by the Heartless, the Nobody's body is swallowed by darkness. If somewhere in the world their hearts are taken back, perhaps they might be able to return to their original human form."

Xehanort returning to his original form? Maybe even the other 5 apprentices?
