Umbrella chronicles, HOTD felt too indie to me, kinda like an arthouse film compared to a hollywood movie with a moderate budget.

HOTD is horrible.

The only thing it has is a combo system.

When you realize youre playing a combo system, you turn off the game to never turn it on again.

Play with another person and you will see nothing, care about nothing. Just shoot the center of the screen and wait for the credits to roll.

Umbrella Chronicles was the much better game. There were branching paths, reasons to go back for better rankings (unlocking levels and unlimite ammo), tons of fan service, and a working framerate. HoTD: Overkill would have been a great game if it didn't look like I chugged a bottle of Robotusin at certain times. No joke; at times it looked like a slide show.

Umbrella Chronicles blows Overkill out of the water any day of the week. I loved playing it with my bud and going for those high rankings.

there are things I dont like about HOTD OK and RE UC. On RE UC the pacing was too slow there are frames that you do nothing. Just walking no items no zobies no anything. Just shooting paintings and objects and there. While HOTD OK was TOO LONG for a lightgun shooter game. If the stages arent too long enough: (10-15 minutes) lets see what we hold for director's cut. If the director's cut stages were the same as the normal stages then the game was perfect. but overall HOTD OK for me. Its still fun and there are hoards of enemies everywhere.

Though Im waiting for RE DC. I think it will fix the problem with other 2 rail shooters

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

I love HOTD overkill

ds* i got all 3*

Im gonna go with the reviews and suggest HOTDOK. UC is broken by its boring slowness, terrible headshot mechanics, and shitty pointer delay. Sure UC is longer, and the story is fun, but when the main mechanic (shooting) is garbage- the game fails. UC is a game you play through once, to enjoy the plot- just like DS:E. HOTD is a game you come back to get the best score with a buddy. UC is certatainly the worst RE game I have bought in last gen. And frankly is only better than its awful PS2 brethren due to the commendible length.

RE:UC is a pretty shoddy B-team effort. The engine is old, the gameplay is stale, and the shooting is busted. But hey its RE, and as Sonic fans have shown fanboys will buy anything...

I like UC better but to be fair, I have not finished HOTD.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
