Yeah there aren't any age limits, I'm old enough to buy M games, so these are going to be secrets between us... I owe him that.

haha ok, well if you know he likes zombies, you HAVE to get Left 4 Dead 2, out November 17th. If he likes a more traditional FPS, go for Modern Warfare 2 which is out a week earlier I believe. Or Halo ODST which is out now.

Those are the best 3 options I can think of.

Thanks, He love Zombie movies, but if I get him left 4 dead 2, should I also get him the first one? Or can he play the second without playing the original?

Oh nah, Left 4 Dead isn't plot driven whatsoever, in fact the first one doesn't even have a story. So I wouldn't worry about that

Alright Left 4 dead 2 is on my list. SO Gears of War 2, and Halo 3.

Another Question, is HAlo 3 ODSt just HAlo with Bonus Levels?

It's a bit different. You're playing as a different, weaker character than Master Chief so you can't use the same methods of killing the Covenant. It does come with all the Halo 3 maps though. Other than that, you could also get Gears 1 and Modern Warfare 2, or even The Orange Box. There are really lots of great shooters to choose from.

Thanks for the clarification, all add all those games to the list too... I really my presents to him make him just as excited/emotional as his did to me.

If he doesn't have any FPS games, then I think you should only get one new game for him, and buy him more of the older, but also great FPSes of year's past.

If he likes Halo 3 then get him Halo 3 before you get ODST. That is a must for him.

Secondly, you should get him a nice story driven FPS adventure. Your two best bets are Bioshock or The Orange Box. I personally like Bioshock a bit better, but the Orange Box has a ridiculous amount of content. It's five games in one. If you don't mind you could get him both since they're easy to get for $20 each.

Lastly, get him Modern Warfare 2. Without knowing him but reading what his tastes in games are, I think he would enjoy this game a lot.

If you were planning on buying three full priced games, this would allow you to get him more for less money. You could walk out spending about $140 for all four of the suggestions I made.

If hes played and liked Halo 3, then chances are he'll like ODST, imo ODST is the best halo game since the original.

Also Project S is a game he might like if he likes Fly FIghter games.

Well that makes it even more awesome to get him some older games. The ones I've suggested haven't aged a bit. They're considered to be near classics by most people, and the main game in The Orange Box, Half-Life 2 is considered by very many to be the greatest FPS ever.

Here's what I would suggest and you can pick what you want from here:

Halo 3 and Halo 3:ODST to go along with it.
Bioshock
The Orange Box
Modern Warfare 2
Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2

I think this set of games will give him a bit of everything he might want, and I'm sure he'll love most to all of them.

It sure is.

You know, my birthday is coming up too. I don't know why I mentioned that. You can do with that knowledge whatever you want. I'm just saying...it's coming up.
