I bet you half of them will still buy the game.

Why would they? For the 6 hour single player campaign, or the gimped multiplayer? It's just not that good, you know and there are plenty of other games out there far more worthy of my money.

Gimped multiplayer? Well.. this whole IWNET thing, has anyone actually tried it? Or are you all complaining about it before the game is out?
Call of Duty is like the most played multiplayer game on consoles, between PS3 and Xbox 360. We have been playing on P2P for years. We're doing fine, what makes you so much more special that you get an upgrade above the consoles? It's about time there is some balance. The only thing better is on PC it's easier to move shoot and aim, better than controllers.
What other FPS will be the FPS of the holiday season? Please tell me, make it a new game, not a released game, the only good FPS thats worth my money from now until March is Battlefield Bad Company 2.
It's just P2P, big whoop. Again, we have been playing on consoles like this for years, we aren't complaining.

Well, if I've been driving a Corvette for years and you show up in a Civic and say its fast and handles great, and you aren't complaining, that doesn't mean I should trade in the Vette
Anyway, this is most certainly gimped for competitive gaming. Without competition mods and dedicated servers, there will be no even playing field on which to compete. There will be absolutely no community for that.
For the average user, dedicated servers themselves are not THAT big a deal, but the fact that you're limited to 9v9 players (which is related to P2P) is a pretty big deal. Big games are fun sometimes, and you're not going to have any of that.
Oh, and one last thing... there's a reason every single PC game that lets you select your server has a "favorites" section. People like to have the option to play on particular servers. Its part of what makes the community, and it will be lacking.
