@lightbleeder. I think they bought the actual company at $150M.

Unbelievable

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Fascinating.  This really does prove a bad management iceberg can sink even a Titanic like Rock Band, at least in fiscal terms.

I agree also that returns are going to decrease from here on out most likely.  Many/most people who are interested already have instruments, and that means much less sales of those if they keep new games backward-compatible with the old instruments.  They may decide to ditch compatibility and make new/better instruments.  But that presents the dilemma of (1) extra development costs for new instruments; and more importantly, (2) that people will feel ripped off/betrayed when new games don't work with the expensive pieces of plastic they've already sunk hundreds of dollars into, and won't buy the new software as a result.  So bottom line is there really is less profit potential in the future, especially since with two major franchises and at best a static customer base this is now a crowded niche.

Bluetooth instruments for the PS3 should sell like hotcakes, I'd buy them instantly

90 million is nothing.

That pours out of every orifice of Viacom and makes up the center of their evil, black soul.

Yeah.

They gave us the Beatles, so I'm happy.

But... they're evil and if they go bankrupt I'd be laughing and pissing on their cursed grave.

Their big mistake was letting GH walk away with the Wii market. By consistently having their Wii versions late and without features for the Wii, GH racked up millions in sales on the Wii.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
