there's 1 of these threads for every hardcore wii game nowadays....

Which is a great thing, Wii success stories never get old.

Not to mention it brings reciprocity to these boards...

Success is a relative term. 35k for Ignition is a success, 35k for Sega, EA and other bigger comanies is not.

Warner is big, much bigger than Sega. And warner just said yesterday that Drawn to life sold 40k first month and went to sell a million. That it was great for them. Some people still gotta learn first month sales arent lifetime or yearly sales. If you can look at a million , any company would be satisfied.

I have never seen this game in any store. I was ready to buy it today, but dident see it so I got DS: Extraction instead

completely agree. i believe the reason Igntion is happy, was because they didn't waste enough money on localization, and they priced their game at $49.99. The trade off to sell more copies at a lower cost, or sell less at a higher cost, turned in their favor. Grats to Mangod for stealing this game from Xseed who is going down the drain, and i can't wait to see what they do with ARF. Keep the games coming Mangod.

Wasn't the company claiming they were unhappy with the Wii market a few weeks ago?

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Once I see this on sale ($~30), I'll definitely pick this up. The only game I might want more (that's releasing soon) is NSMBWii, and largely because of the multiplayer.

I hope it continues to sell during the holidays!

After recently playing Heavenly Sword i feel sooooo bad for all the Wii action games b/c they are en par or better than HS, but HS still sells more ...

Accordng to VGC it sold over 700k which is still a success, but not a million.

Three things: Muramasa is much more niche than Drawn to Life, it's much more likely to be bought as a family game and it probably was shipped a lot more than Muramasa will ever get shipped to stores. I'm going to go on a limb here and say that this will not sell well over time like that game did.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

The game isn't a success yet, just so far it's fallen in line with expectations. Whether it's a success depends on it's holiday performance, as they said. But so far, so good.

It's really too soon to say any more then that, I remember SEGA did something with Madworld, back tracking on their original pleasure at sales, or something.

The developer went on record saying that it sold a million worldwide.  If you look at the Drawn to Life page on VGChartz, it says "US sales only".
