It`s about time to overthrow Zelda Ocarina of Time, anyway.

The thing is, no matter how good Uncharted 2 may be, it isn´t an innovative game in no aspect.

Zelda OoT is a turning point in videogame history. It changed and influenced everything since then.

Being said that, U2 is no contender.

PS: I still think we need a new king, a new "greates game of all time" or "game with the highest reviews of all time".

No offense but you don't sound like you have any idea what you're talking about.

U2 Is a evolution to gaming as we know it. Discrediting it for a lack of innovation is smering as it's not only perfected so many things, it's the first game to create a full fluid cinematic experience. It does what many other games has tried to do, like metal gear solid and the first uncharted.

Uncharted 2, is the next level of gaming, and that.. Is a revolution all by itself.

This is ofcourse based on my opinions, but your comment too was your opinion.

I would have said he didn't have any idea because U2 can't get a higher score than Zelda:OoT now.

Talking about... first place in game reviews?

I don't think so ---> http://www.gamerankings.com/browse.html

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

i don't see how reviews indicate the quality of a game.
you know that reviewers are just some nerds who comment on every little aspect of the game and barely even care about the fun of the game.

And are paid mostly by advertising... from videogame companies.

Back before there was so much money on the internet, it was more credible, (reveiw scores were lower back then).

Even then it was just that... nerds commenting about what they like and don't, not actually holding up a game to any critical review process.

If Movie reviews worked like Videogame reviews, stuff like Big Mama's house would get 5 stars.

Yes I would agree that it has taken the area it's given to a new level, but I would still have to give the credit to RE4.  Really for games like Gears, Uncharted, etc... the setup was really perfected and made huge by that of RE4 and they have simply expanded upon that.  So really that is the innovator and they have evolved from there.  So while Uncharted 2 does make strides in areas, it had a pretty solid base that it started on and I'm pretty sure Naughty Dog would recognize they had a lot of inspiration from that of RE4.  But Uncharted 2 still definitely deserves the praise it has been getting and even though innovation should matter in a review... not so much that it discredits a still great game.

Love how people are comparing the game who doesnt even have 30 reviews with the game who has 80 reviews

Well most are going to attribute it to RE4 and I'm not going to tell them they are wrong but there are probably precursors to it.  And you attributed it to the full cinematic experience but I'm pretty sure RE4 was quite the cinematic experience.  The whole action game 3rd person over the shoulder genre really started with that of RE4.  That style started there... just only difference was RE4 was it had a lot of survival horror undertones.

I haven`t played U2, I admit it. But it looks awesome, like a game would I love. However, the only thing most reviewers admit is that the game is not innovative. They say that it perfected everything from other games. Doing that is not a crime. But when you say "greatest game eva" in this forums, the game that most people come up with is Zelda OoT. Not because is great today, but because it set the standards for future 3D adventure games. It was revolutionary for its time. This one I did played it. Too bad couldn´t do it in the time it was launched, like 12 years ago, so compared with today´s games, it looks a bit old. But OoT game meant a lot for the industry. U2 may be, I don´t know, even for my own taste in games, the best OF THIS GENERATION. But the "best game eva to reviewrs"... nah. This title (sadly in my opinion) is still own by OoT.

PS: I am thinking about buying a PS3. GT5 is one reason to do it. U2 is another good reason.
