Looks like it ranks somewhat below "Power" in the Regional Influence thing, which is what Butswania is.

basically power level is your socioeconomic situation in relation to all the other nations in the region. We've all joined at the same time so we'd all be equal "powers" in the region.

As we increase in population, GDP, etc. etc. then some of us will move from power to "super power" or down to "backwater" or "minnow"

I just voted that cheap cars from outside can come in and ruin my auto industry due to their cheap labor.... There goes the economy some more.

I need a new country where I can do all what I wouldn't do in a real country

That is why Gniztopia was founded. So far it has been pretty hilarious how it went. I have managed to outlaw our chief export at a time when our economy would collapse if a very gentle breeze happened near it. This will have some very amusing ramifications.

i just legalized euthinasia.

I think a lot of problems would be solved in the United states if you had a living will or a paper documenting whatever your end-of-life wishes would be. I think a lot of these legal crap things come from people who have no documentation and the patient is in a coma and the doctor wants to pull the plug and the family wants to keep him alive or vice versa.

Yeah, I created this one http://www.nationstates.net/nation=lowenburg

Site says it's OK as long as I don't apply to the WA.

Speaking of which, yay! I've been accepted into it. So, who do we endorse?

Mine was about if hospitals should be allowed to pay people for donating organs and blood

I chose to outlaw it

For me i think it'd depend on what organs.

I've really got no problem with it unless it's like someones heart or something that you NEED to live.

I mean, honestly the biggest argument i've seen against it is "The poor will feel pressured to donate their organs."

However, those arguements always seem to ring false to me because it's not like the poor will be MORE poor if organ selling is legal.  They'll be just as poor as they are now.

It reminds me of child labor laws.

Great in the first world... but do you know what the main sideffect of child labor laws in 3rd world countries is?  Dead children.

There is of course worries about organ stealers, but this already happens... I don't see this being legal increasing that buisness too much so long as it's properly regulated.

They will be just as poor, but with less of their precious organs to live. The problem I have with selling your organs off is it creates health problems in the lower class. Any truly redundant organ wouldn't have any value, and the ones you need would cause massive complications associated with them. I suppose maybe the liver I would be ok with since it kind of re-grows, or is fully functional withonly half of it or something. But even something as simple as a kidney could end up shortening someone's lifespan quite significantly.
