The PS3 fans are just as annoying as the Xbox fans were last gen. Let me just put it that way. They are rabid and annoying.

It's his opinion, not an assumption, and he has every right to state it when specifically asked. The OP specifically asked. Why mess with him about it? If he goes into too much detail he could catch a ban just for having an unpopular or insulting opinion. Don't take insult in this thread. All of us have insulting opinions, but we don't flesh them out because it's not appropriate. The OP asked why people are "whining" about PS3 fans, so don't read the answers if you don't want to hear them.

PS3 fans have been the worst around here for a while. First off, every single PS3 exclusive has several threads a day up until around 2 weeks after its release. I know this because while I cannot name a exclusive XBOX game outside of Alan Wake or a Wii exclusive outside of the Mario games. Every single exclusive no matter how shitty it looks is GOTY material for PS3 fans. If the same game were multiplat there wouldnt be more than one thread about it.

PS3 fanboys, though the largest population here in VGchartz, are very insecure. They always feel its an us against the world situation. Then we are suck with a half dozen "Why are people hating so much on *insert PS3 exclusive that isnt really hated on here*" Then all the fanbuys come together for a circle jerk where they come to the conclusion that everyone hates the game cause it's exclusive.

There are a lot of fanboys on each side, but there is an overwhelming amount of PS3 fanboys here and there is no denying it. Just look at the total forum posts by weeks end there will be more posts than any other platform specific forum. By years end there will be double the amount of PS3 posts than there will be XBOX posts, yet we will continue to hear about how this forum is full of PS haters.

But I do want to hear the answers. Just not cheap one-liners.

I agree so I will just list the ways.

First and foremost, PS3 fanboys (not to be confused with owners, because I am one myself) kill the buzz of having a PS3 and drain all the fun out of the official hype a game gets. The add godly hype to a game that mostly is only human. They act like every game was sent from heaven above when the biggest stand-out titles (to me) on the PS3 have been MGS4, Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Heavenly Sword....and...thats it for not. There are great titles, but stand-out? I don't know. Infamous was great and so was LBP (Yes, I finally played it), Rachet & Clank and more.  I know more great titles coming out, but they aren't the end all be all of PS3 games. There are more PS3 games out already that are  higher in value and acclaim than next years exclusives. PS3 fanboys just wont let this be. The seem to spend more time typing on the computer than actually playing their games as well. They seem to have forgotten the average graphics days of the PS2 and PS1 era, when they had the argument of quality and quantity all rolled into one. Now it's quality in a handful. I mean the PS3 has picked up the pace, but they have handfuls every year and the fanboys just exaggerate. I haven't seen exaggerating like that since the original Xbox fanboys. They have the same exact arguments. "Graphics this", "power that", "the system will get more games just wait and see!" "Sony 4 Life" "Trey all day!" My.......how gay. Seriously, I've had arguments with PS3 only fanboys and have never lost as most have given up siting their major draw back being their major bias and blind loyalty to Sony rather than just judging games for what they are. Sony doesn't make the games.....they hire people to make the games for them just like Microsoft. The only fanboys with accurate arguments are Nintendo fanboys and I hate the damn Wii.

In all seriousness, this is what I'm seeing. Here is my take plain and simple.

1) Sony fans who are trolling Wii and 360 games because of their console - You have an argument. Do report them, etc.

2) Sony fans who are hyping / loving their own games - You don't have a good argument. Ignore it and move on, unless you have something constructive to say.
