RELEASE IN JAPAN - JAN 28,2010!!!

End of Eternity’s Countup Clock Spoiled

Sega had a change of plans. End of Eternity aka Resonance of Fate in the West won’t appear anywhere until next year.

 

Tri-Ace’s first project with Sega was originally slated for “winter 2009” in Japan. Their count up clock is already at 2010. This week’s issue of Famitsu cuts to the chase and reveals End of Eternity’s release date, January 28, 2010. At least it won’t have to compete with Final Fantasy XIII anymore.

 

Resonance of Fate had a rough spring 2010 release window in North America. No word if Sega will push the US release back or stick with the same timeline to get a jump over Square Enix.

 

 

* hell yea hopefully they dont change the western release they should be real close so i shouldnt have to import!!!!!

That's not good. PS3 needed another big title for the end of the year.

This is a VERY GOOD release date imo....

but now what about the sales?

What could it really do in Japan, how will it be marketed?

can it be a breakout JRPG hit?

Will it need legs to be a hit?

Well, it's releasing the same day as Ar Tonelico 3 now so now both games have to compete with each other.

Silly choice no matter where you put it.

And I thought this would be in Early November before PES or the last week of Dec/First week of January. (2-3 weeks after FFXIII)

You don't think two JRPGs releasing on the same day will be competing? Look at what Tales of Vesperia did Agarest Senki Zero, Tears to Tiara, and Trinity Universe. They're not that similar, but the fanbases have big crossover.
