Forums - Gaming - Somehow Dante's Inferno actually looks decent

I know it's EA, a God of War clone and EA people talking about Dante's Inferno (the work of literature) is hillarious but it still looks pretty decent.

Here's a video and there is partial nudity so NSFW.

I mean the setting is different than any recent game (I think), it has a gigantic evil cleopatra as a boss and if they pull off the combat this could be something special.

I'm really interested in seeing how they represent the hell from Inferno even if the game ends up a disappointment.

I've read the Divina Commedia and I don't understand why a game based on this book is a god of war clone? It's not like god of war invented something new here, just using mythology.

Anyway I can't wait to see if they actually have a space reserved for the pope Bonificace VIII in hell, like in the book :) Would be funny.

Ugh, boob have never looked so good in video games yet been so unsexy. Yes every time I see the game I like it more and more.

This is the hack'n slash game to own in this generation.

The setting is so perfect.

The combat looks similar, it has giant bosses like god of war and the pace seems similar. It's not the ultra hard Ninja Gaiden type game, but relies on a lot of style and big weapons and flashy moves to make up for it.

Also it's set in a mythological world (this time hell) with demons and other supernatural beings to fight and it looks pretty violent like god of war and it doesn't hold back on the female nudity like god of war.

With all that said I'm still interested in the game because of the setting (I want to see how each of the 9 circles is represented) and if the combat is good it could be a great game to play, but God of War is hard to beat at this type of game.

Plus the developer is Visceral, the guys who made the best horror game of the generation I'm sure they'll do the genre justice.

I'm just saying that the story of the Divina Commedia is nothing like the story in god of war.

And... Wouldn't it be kinda strange to make a game of the Divina Commedia without adding hell...? How can you have a level of lust without having nudity and sex in it? God of war did not invent that stuff you know. I do agree however that the combat part looks very similar, but that's not really a bad thing and I don't think god of war did much new things in the combat part when it first got released(correct me if I'm wrong, haven't played it a lot)

It's made by the same people who made Dead Space. Of course it's going to be awesome!
