I will say that there has been lack of quality software lately and not many developers have turly embraced unique control schem of the wii just yet. i would love to see a good FPS on the wii. there have been a couple but nothng to brag about.
and out talking about the next gen system, right now its just talk of course they are working on it already probably a few years in development by now but it wont be released ultil late 2011 at the earliest.

But there are too much talks about it already. thats the point... I think Ninty will announce a new console in E3 2011 at the earliest and we didnt seen any quality FPS and RTS or even TPS in the system so far. And to think its the Wii's strongest points. But then, its not that the core gamers that Nintendo is catering to right now anyway...
I think Nintendo release a new console not because of the old core gamers like us but because of the saturation of the casual gamers this gen. The more months had passed the more the casual gamers becoming core gamers.

No, and no, as I pointed out, Nintendo will wait until after Sony and MS to announce, why? Because they are in the lead and are selling the most consoles and have no reason to launch first, secondly why shpuld Nintendo cater to every genre, why aren't third parties catering to those genres on the Wii? Why is Nintendo to blame for third party failures?
|
As if Ninty even in the NES days gives sh*t to third parties. Theres a reason for black box games on the NES you know. I predicted this that third parties will croack next year(I posted that in 2008) seems happening right now. And I did say that if third parties wont act together there'll be a video game crash and when they realized it its too late.(Its in my sig) its happening in Japan right now. And Nintendo gives a damn? NO.
Anyway, Nintendo will definitely making a FPS, RTS and TPS on their new console but even many Nintendo fanboys will be disappointed in the current line up on the Wii right now and they stop playing on the Wii and switch to PS360. Not realizing what good things that will come ahead. Thats disruption do its not abnormal its natural...

Why should Nintendo give much to third parties, its business, if third parties can't hack it, then they go under, Nintendo gave them a great opportunity with the Wii, and instead, third parties, scurried off to the HD consoles, now many are in trouble, while Nintendo is swimming in cash, even in this slow period for the Wii, they are making tons of profits and will be safe even if the rest of the industry goes under.
Even if some of the core gamers, rush over to the PS360, the fact is, Nintendo has reached a much wider audience, and even on this board, you see the majority of people own a Wii, even if they may not like it as their primary console, so its not like Nintendo is in trouble, in fact far from it, its other companies that are in trouble, while Nintendo is riding high
