I just thought of something. If we only had success in our lives and there was no such things as mistakes, then we would have no motivation to get things right.
Simply being aware of mistakes we could make force us to do thing right...

another issue of course is paradoxes, if you go back and dont make a mistake then you have no reason to go back and stop that mistake in the future, so it may happen anyway, or not, i dont know, paradoxes always confused me, but i think thats the point of them?

Yes, you actually sound very confused lol.
Well, you could always instruct yourself to go back at some point and warn yourself about the thing you now haven't done. That could stabilize the time loop.
Of course, IMO that's not really relevant to the question itself, which seems to just assume it could be done.
