Obviously Falling wii sales is the reason

THey will not match their forecast

but I think NSMB Wii will sell them extra controllers, so that could rake in more profit!

sales and the fact that the yen has been stronger than what they anticipated when they made their forecast..

Even if Ninty has to cut profits, at least they can still take solace in the fact that they're actually making a profit in such harsh economic times (or during CRISIS[©]).

Ninty imo probably made billions and wont lose much money but with new super mario bros wii (im super hyped for this) this will rake in cash and sell more controllers to the hardcore ninty fans :)

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

price cut should have been taken into account when they made their forecast...( they made a forecast of 26 million units in the middle of a recession, noone in their right mind would have forecasted that without expecting to have to drop the price to reach that goal).

When they made that forecast originally it was last spring, they probably never expected a price cut happening this year
