The 360. It's a humongous improvement, and it jumped the brand from my least favorite to my most.

The 360 because of the improvement of the game library.

The 360 for bringing the perfect mix into one package (gamertags, achievements, xbl)

The original Xbox was good for it's component output for HD gaming. The controller S was a nice step in controller design. I didn't really appreciate it until I turned it into a media center (XMC/XBMC). That's when I loved it. But without that, it's still a little stale.

I only own the original Xbox, but from what I've seen and played, the 360 is definitely better. But I was kinda disappointed by the original Xbox anyway (one of the reasons I wasn't interested in the 360 at all in the beginning)

Definitely the 360. I think its multimedia capabilities are often overlooked.

For example, in my apartment we only get the basic cable out of the wall provided by our complex because we're college students and are too cheap to pay for anything better. However, my 360 can function as a media center extender for my HP media center PC which has a coax input, and the 2 together can still function as a DVR.

Of course the enormous library is also a factor as well...

I vote Xbox 360 because it has some of my favorite games this gen Gears of War 1 & 2. Plus I'm addicted to Xbox Live and achievements. I also think that the controller is really comfortable.
