Forums - Gaming - What I really don't understand this gen

Maybe it's the marketing. Many of the people who went out and bought a wii and 360 are the people with low budgets who want a fun console, and saw the ads on tv or were reeled in by some form of advertising.

And sony's lack of advertising and higher-price console drew in the forum trawling gaming fanatics who were looking for something with a magical quality (teh c3ll) and a long line of awesome franchises they just want to talk to their buddys or their internet peers about all day.

The people I know with Wii's don't browse the internet that much, the people I know with 360 browse but don't discuss. And the people with PS3's are the ones talking on the internet : )

That's just my theory though. I don't know for sure.

This, plus Sony fans are generally more hardcore gamers and thus more often in front of a computer than 360 and Wii owners.

The thought of my nan hyping up New super mario bros Wii is just too much for me to handle ;)

Most people i have seen with 360 are like 8 years olds screaming at the screen playing COD. Too young to read good enought to spam the forums ;)

The ps3 was so expesive only gaming geeks brought it. So hence the is more people on the internet banging on about the PS3 ;)

All of the above is just bull shit i have come up with out of thin air but reading back to me it actaully does make sence

I hope I don't sound stereotyping, but I always felt that both platforms had their respective core base, but the 360 had the extra addition of casual gamers. The ones that play only Halo, CoD, and Madden.

This site was a nintendo site when it launched and most of last year, then it turned into a neutral site early this year. now its mostly ps3 fans

@CGI

If that the case I would think there would be more Nintendo fans.

Read where I said, coming off the heels of two Sony-dominated gens.

Sorry.  My bad missed that part.

I hate the word fanboy

OT: I see more microsoft fans and sometimes more ps3 fans but never any ninty fans... makes me feel lonely :(

Ye owns enough Sonic, ye shall be spared for now. Make haste Sonic can only protect thee for only so long...

lol, you better watch out, ronster may be anywhere, with a .50 cal sniper, he could be miles away or right next to you

@Seriously_Trolling

Funny thing is, iv rarely seen kids screaming or yelling on Xbox live, mainly cause you gotta pay for it, but on PSN you can create alt accounts and trash talk/team kill and its free online, so naturally there will be more kids on PSN than XBL.
