ehhe well I was excited about Crysis and needed to do SOMETHING while I was waiting for it to download so I clicked on the next thread down. Which was yours.
Guess I'm playing necromancer for once ;)

| madskillz said: I have it on the 360 and love it. However, I also have yet to download it off Steam - I have the code from Valve but haven't had time to get it off Steam since I have been playing it on the 360. The graphics are sweeter on the PC - but the 360 version isn't shabby too. I am going to do an in-depth comparison shortly on both versions. |
The real benefits of the PC version aren't the graphics (although they are slightly better, with a better framerate). It's the user created content that really makes the PC version superior. Half-Life 2 is great, but it's even better with HL2: Deathmatch. Portal is great, but can you imagine the mods that are going to be made with that? Portal Gun deathmatch. Portal Gun in HL2.... the possibilties are endless.

The Portal Gun & The gravity gun are the two most interesting ideas in recent PC gaming, both from Valve. Impressive.
The mods are going to rock

Well I already played a bunch of Half Life 2 while using the Portal gun.
Pretty sweet hehe.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
Reinstalling through steam is a freaking breeze. I'd bypass the disc copy completely. It really doesn't matter either way though since once you register the disc through steam you can use steam to reinstall the game at any time without ever having to use the discs.
Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.
DarkNight_DS beat me to it.
Thats one of the reallly nice things about steam. Once you register a copy its yours to redownlad whenever you want. I tend to unistall games after I beat them. I uninstalled HL 2 after I played it and reinstalled it to play back throgh it before playing episode 1. I thought I was screwed when I got to disc 4 it had a giant scratch in it. Steam picked it up from there and finished the reinstall.
I'd buy it on disk if you have sucky dsl. It took me all night just to download episode 2 on 1.5M(500k actual).
