They are not making more money than Nintendo in the gaming business that's for shure...

My mind has been significantly blown.

i'd guess that it includes: sales of consoles, sales of games, sales of accessories, sales of live.  maybe even ad revenue but probably not.

I'll tell you that if I have to pay $100 for xbox live I'm selling my 360 with everything and buying a PS3. Granted 360s online is better but I'm not dishing out almost $10 a month for xbox live. I have enough bills as it is and being in college I'm broke.

i think most of you are overreacting. live will most likely raise its price someday just due to inflation. this guy basically confirmed that a price increase isn't coming in the near term which is as much of a confirmation as anyone can make.

To go one step further, a price hike of $10 is justifiable using inflation.

what inflation? We are in a recession for Pete's sake.

Frankly, for 100 dollars a year, that just makes PS3 a much more appealing console. If anyone is happy about this, it should be PS3 owners.

Pretty much this. I mean they're saying that they do proprietary drives because they have a higher reliability standard than standard drives. How nice of you Microsoft, I'm wondering where this attitude was when they decided to rush into this generation by cutting corners in the 360's design, resulting in unreliable hardware.

I would agree with you on that , but I cannot say for 100% if that's true or not because we do not have full data on the entire market but I would say it's a good bet.

 I would say Not even Sony make's more than Nintendo in  the game market.

as of 2008

since 1995 the the playstation brand as a whole

has generated more than 50 Billion at retail. that's

about 4 billion+ a year for 13 year's is pretty good .

ask yourself does Nintendo still makes more than that per year?
