Forums - Gaming - Let's see if this is a valid reason "Dead Space" failing on the Wii

I personally like lightgun shooters but cannot justify the purchase with that kind of pricetag.
I don't care if the score is 120%

There's just little demand for the type of game that they put out. It's their fault and their fault alone, not the consumers.

I'm not sure if they're doing this yet, but as a side mark, I'd like to comment about how stupid I think it is when producers blame consumers for bad sales.

too many lightgun games on wii, that's the main reason. These type of games have already proven they can sell many times already, it's just 1 too many. You could tell that the market was getting saturated when HOTD: overkill sold a lot less than HOTD: 2 and 3. This isn't the type of game that people normally buy, it just had a kind of revival a couple years ago because of the wii-mote. The genre needs to be scaled back.

I'm a little worried about resident evil but it should have enough brand power to do alright.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Damn it was hard finding this again:

I wonder if this is paid for or just a random game chosen.

On rail shooters are meant to be played at arcades lmao...
No offence tho DSE is far more better than that trash-talking house of the dead overkill game.

They should've lowered the price and got a better boxart, then MAYBE they would've sold a few copies more...

It could also be that the Wii already has several good light gun shooters. Also, for fans of the genre, there is the choice between this and the upcoming Resident Evil game. Many want to see which is better.
