I live in Sweden and don't know a single 360 owner that doesn't pirate games. 360 is the only real option for pirates which means 360 is mostly bought by pirates.

The masses have no interest in 360. They buy PS3 (and wii).

Does this mean the Slim moved a reasonable amount of software and wasn.t only purchased by Phat owners? And piracy hurts Box film at 11.

I think it's because a lot of the hardware sales from last fall's price drop went to a "soft" audience.  The Arcade model became so cheap that you sort of just shrugged and said "might as well".  A lot of people picked it up to get in on Halo, Gears and maybe Fable but couldn't be counted on to continue buying games as if it were their main console.  I imagine the attach rate dropped a lot specifically because of the price drop because Microsoft used to discuss their high attach rate all the time; these days not so much.

Piracy. I see. As the x360 gets cheaper and become more easily available to people who can't afford to buy games in this part of the world I can see it growing.

Good news for MS as it's a console sold but bad news because they or the developers won't get a penny out of the pirated games.

At least Sony got something right at the start of this gen.

The Euro exchange rate also comes into play meaning he who sells most in EU profits most.

Quite a while ago, I remember the X360 was outselling the PS3's software then all of a sudden the PS3 got a big software adjustment and it was beating the X360 again.

Nicely done by the PS3, it would stand to reason that a lot of games that are popular on the PS3 are euro-centric, i.e. fifa and PES (and soon to be GT).

Also its sad to see the attach rate of the PSP :S

Well I think the first time it happened was the week metal gear solid 4 came out although the gap had been getting very narrow before then.
