Scans out. Bayonetta 40/40 on 360 and 38/40 on PS3

I read that PS3 version has framerate issues and lower graphics .

But 38/40 is too high for this game.

It's Famitsu Zen, lots of people flame them because they simply don't trust them. Hell, I basically just ignore their reviews and wait for a more reliable source.

...

FF13 versus next.

That's not really my issue. However, getting an aweful score from Famitsu is a pretty good indicator that a game will suck, and hence NOT getting said aweful score is the first hurdle most Japanese games must make to not suck.

If this game got a 20/40 from Famitsu, I bet some of the same people who used this as an excuse to flame Famitsu, would instead be flaming the game.

Truth.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

My top 10 games this gen:

10. Tales of Vesperia
9. Radiant Dawn
8. LBP
7. SMG
6. Twilight Princess
5. CoD4
4. Dead Space
3. Bioshock
2. Braid
1. Fallout 3

Unless you count Elite Beat Agents or Phoenix Wright, which would be number 2 and 3 respectively. MGS4 didn't do it for me, but if you're making a universal top 10, you would probably throw that one in. Haven't played Uncharted 2.

Number 11?

Valkyria. I'd like to say Demon Souls...but Valkyria Chronicles is much better than Demon Souls imo. It's also better than Mass Effect, imo. I think Dragon Age might knock it back though. :P

Dead Space is the oddball here, but what can I say? I'm a horror fan.

White Knight Chronicles and Demon's Souls both got 29/40

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

A. Those games aren't multiplats like Bayonetta. They have exclusivity fans to back them, and marginalize their critics.

B. Those aren't exceptionally low scores. They are a far cry from the 20/40 I mentioned.

C. I am, and have always been a little worried about WKC. I am guessing like all exclusives, it's overhyped, but Demon Souls surprised me, and I don't prejudge, so let's just leave it at "worried."

D. Famitsu tries to review for a general audience. In a world where Kingdom Hearts gets good reviews, I'm willing to bet they felt the difficulty was enough to justify bumping Demon Souls down a bit. I'd also bet they recommended it to otaku.

E. I can name you 10 reviews from every reputable website that totally discredits their review system, except this one, because the reviews just started. I can name about 6 from here.

It's called opinion.

Hummm... Famitsu has been very generous lately, six 40/40 in two last years. As a Sega and Devil May Cry fan, i really hope Famitsu review is correct.

I dont know why some people here mention how many japanese games they've bought this gen, etc. WTF has that got to do with Bayonetta getting 40/40?

Yes it's not a crap game, in fact, it's very good from what I've seen. But No, it's not a perfect game.

I think we can truly say whether this game deserves the 40/40 or not when it's released in Japan next week.
