excellent maxis, that is exactly what we need especially since your tastes are clearly quite different form mine (though clearly we do have quite a few similarities, glad to see gun-nac), I'm going to run our lists side by side and look for the commonalities as well as the differences
but off hand, I think 1943, r.c.pro am 2 and bomberman 2 are outright better than their better known precursors, if you haven't check them out
also give GI joe (make sure you try real american hero and not the medicore atlantis factor) a chance if you haven't it is a very good game
you dragon warrior fans get back to me about the best 2 dragon warriors
and I think we should only have 3 megaman games

that's great, other course that is the one koei strategy game I don't have, I"ll have to find one with manual some time, tried playing L'emperuer without knowing what to do and it just did stuff for like three minutes then told me I lost

personally I think we should have at least 1 koei strategy, they may be niche but I think the should be represented as they are a unique experience

Koei published only 9 game for the NES. Among them I put Romance of the Three Kindoms II and Uncharted Waters on my Top 100.

But other games like Nobunaga's Ambition and Genghis Khan are good. Our top 100 must represent all game's genre. We must a t least have 2-3 strategy games and KOEI made the best.

I personally didn't play any of the NES strategy games much.  Tried the Fire Emblem games but found their interface hard to utilize.  Many of the other SRPG/RTS games are Japan only, and based on Godzilla or Anime titles.  I did try Romance of the Three kingdoms for a short time, but I never could figure out how to play those games.
