Do not count my vote, but I wouldn't give any 3D Zelda game a score higher than 8.5

why not count your vote?

The lowest I can objectively rank a game is 7, unless it falls in the Big Rigs quality kind of game, but I've seen your LBP response and you actually gave a detailed and objective reason for it.

Well I think the true 'average' rating for a game is a 5. I think Leo-J posted this in the LBP thread, but in this ranking game, we are told that a 7 must be an average. In that context, I think rating it a 5 without saying shit is just dishonest.

this thread exploded faster than the halo 3 thread.

We love controversy.

9.8

finished it about three times, it was a great experience overall
the controls were very responsive and precise ( for me )
it had excellent and well thought puzzles
epic boss battles (although a little on the easy side)
the graphics were beautiful ( remember, it´s a gamecube game after all and still, looked really great by the time the wii came out)
music is superb
the story just sucked me in form the beggining
it had one of the most epic final battles (again, a litle easy but still epic)

the only negative part about the game is that aside from the main story, you can´t do a lot of other things, yes, you have one of the most deep fishing simulators out there today, but in comparisson with other zelda games, it lacked in the side quest front.

True, and 5 should be held as the True average, I believe that would be a better parameter than considering 7 as the average. But since that's the parameter of this ranking game, as you said, rating it lower without explaining your reasoning behind it is not honest at all. I guess it's hard for most people to keep objectivity when it comes to rating games, especially if you have some gripes about that game, but in the end, it will all come down to personal preference. Hell, one of my most beloved games of all time, Granstream Saga is at 73% average in GameRankings, yet it's one of the best i've ever played ;)

I just find it hard to believe that anyone who's played LTTP could actually not like it.

10.

Greatest game of all time.

This was a fantastic game, but if 10 is perfect I have to give it a 9.8. The gameplay was fantastic, playing as the wolf was a unique experience and jumping between the dark world and the normal one was an interesting idea to keep Zelda fresh.

There seemed to be less mini games in the town which was a disappointment as I really enjoyed those in OOT. Upgrading your quiver to hold more arrows, increasing your wallet, etc. Included in the mini games, they needed more side quests, collect my chickens for a ____. I know I'm judging on what they removed from OOT, but it was still a fantastic game.

Boss fights were very unique in this one, I especially enjoyed the one part where you are on your horse and have to cross the bridge but end up caught in battle with one of the pig dudes on his animal.

This game deserves another play through. Maybe I'll do that soon, maybe now...why not?

10

My first Zelda and also my most favorite ever.
I LOOOOOOVE the story. Midna is one of my most favorite characters in gaming.
