This was also a prediction because of the price tag. But since the recent events; price drops and AAA games. It will surpass the 6 million barrier this year. Also the forced sale of the 60gig will help push out all older SKU's and give Sony the chance to use smaller chip and reduce the costs even further. In January HOME,KZ2 & MGS4 will be released. January will move an approximate of 2million consoles. In 2008 you will have Tekken, GTA, GT and all other hot stuff like RROM and others. This year alone Sony sold PS3 consoles with almost no games. What if there are enough games...WHAT WILL HAPPEN. the xbox360 needs games to sell....the PS3 also needs games, but history has proven it sold with just a few games. I guess MS is going to be thumbed in 2008 because the PS3 will sell more consoles in a shorter span then the Xbox360 did. This alone is the prove of the strength of the PS brand and the PS3. Bioshock did not sell as many as the hypers thought. Halo3 will sell about 4 million pieces. KZ2 will sell about 5-6 million pieces. This is guaranteed (becoz Sony will push it in your face). Say KZ2 can push 3mil consoles :) MGS can push 2 mil consoles :) that's 5million + 8 million this year = 13 million by February But the future is bright and fail prove also counting the major trolling by certain people :) |

Quite possibly I did overlook them :) However it was proably due to the fact that I see SONY in the title and feel obligated to respond in it. If a thread is created for the sake of flamebaiting then I guess the thread can serve some kind of purpose, just not constructive, but if I see a thread titled "Xbox 360 is teh newbzors for its hardware prolmens" Then why would I enter to support it? It's a 360 thread, and like I stated earlier I simply don't care.
I would hope that a 360 fan would go out of his way to post that threads of those types offer nothing more than childish bickering the likes of which I've seen in "GOKU VRS VEGITA" type threads -_- I mean honestly, if its an Xbox discussion, and Xbox supporters are discussing it, then by all means talk away. But the title I mentioned earlier points to nothing but flamebait :) The entire topic being created to waste time and bitch about something you have no interest in.

Initially, Sony sold Blu-Ray and the PS3 (to developers) under the promise that they would sell 10 Million PS3 systems by 2007 ... Eventually, the release date of the system got pushed back but Sony was still confident that they would sell 6 Million systems by 2007 ... E3 2006 showed up and Sony now promised 4 Million systems in 2006 and 6 Million by March 31st 2007 ... A couple months later Sony was set on having 2 Million PS3 systems sold in 2006 with 6 Million by March 31st 2007 ...
