Console versions were cancelled.

If you like that, get DQ VIII. That's the only one I have but it's amazing IMO. The story isn't that great but the game has a lot of charm, the battles are pretty fun and tough (though I didn't think they were as tough as some people thought...), the overworld is HUGE (it's the biggest overworld I've seen. Very detailed, very beautiful. It's my favorite ever. I hope DQ X can have a better overworld!)...

Good choice, you won't regret it. Therefore DQ4 is a little bit different from the others since it is divised into 5 chapters.
