Wada said DQ IX will come after Summer I think? I don't remember but a 2010 release is guarantted for DQ IX...

I hope DQ X can come in 2011 in Japan and 2012 in US.

Wada said, and I'm paraphrasing but this is his basic quote, 'We're not going to begin to think about translating Dragon Quest IX until sometime next year.'  This was in reference to the Square Enix earnings reports released a couple months ago (when they were showing off the amount all their major franchises make).  So basically, if you take Wadas statement as a default fact, Square Enix isn't even going to start 'thinking' about translating Dragon Quest IX until sometime after next march (the beginning of the next fiscal year).

I wouldn't take wada's word for fact at all. He also said Dragon Quest IX and Final Fantasy XIII weren't going to release the same fiscal year.

Well, I don't want to, I really don't.  But when it comes to Dragon Quest, Square Enix really doesn't care much about the series outside of Japan anyway.  So even if Wada had no say in it, it would probably take 6-9 months for them to bring it out in America anyway.  What he's saying is just that he doesn't think they're going to even start translating it until after the next year begins.

Which could change as thier priorities do. That doesn't mean that they *will* start translating it in January or March, but that he expects to. Actually "year" could actually mean the regular annual year and he could be talking about January.

WKC, FFXIII, maybe Alpha Protocol, Reasonance of Fate, Star Ocean 4.

Well let's hope.  Frankly, I think they're dropping the ball.  After the huge numbers for the game in Japan, they should have followed the game up as quickly as they could with an international release just because of the news hype on how well it was doing.  It was free media wasted and now since the game will be releasing anywhere from 7-12 months (or later) after its Japanese counterpart, any free publicity or hype the western Magazines were making about the 'biggest DS RPG yet' is long past.  As well as any interest in Dragon Quest as a whole.

I'm interested in too many, as usual...

3D Dot Game heroes
Tales of Vesperia
Star Ocean 4
Last Rebellion
Resonance of Fate
Final Fantasy XIII

Wii:
Tales of Graces
Fragile

PSP:
Valkyria Chronicles 2

PC:
Mass Effect 2
