If so.. is it a safe method of selling video games?

Well, it's hit or miss. Meet in a public place and make sure you tell the person in an e-mail, not on the listing. Why? I met this cat at an IKEA here and was going to sell him an iPhone. Anyhow, it's faster on CL than eBay, but eBay offers you fast payments and can get a good price and customers from all over the world. What are you selling, btw?

It's solid, but I prefer having the payment safely given to me through paypal, rather than trusting people to meet up and pay.

e-bay and Amazon are a lot safer for you due to protection programs they have. I'd rather use those services unless I'm selling/buying a vehicle or some other large item.

Anyways, just be careful and make sure you are paid in $ and are in a public place. Also, always get the $ first and give the game away second. You are likely to have teens "buying" these games and they may try running.

We have plenty of sites like CS in the UK, and the buyer usually always comes to your house.

It's VERY rare anything bad happens .. maybe it's just more dangerous in America ? I don't know .. everyone seems to be saying "meet in a public place" ...

The best way is to set up a paypal account which is free. If you do that e-bay and paypal will skim some off the top if someone pays you, but it is no worse than Amazon. Also, you get money for shipping the item and if you use USPS you can get really cheap rates ($2-3) while having shipping much more. You can do local pickup only, but that will really cut into your potential purchasing base.

The best way to get your money out of paypal is to have a free checking account at a local bank. You can typically get a free checking acount so long as you keep $1 in the account at all times. They ask you how often you'll be making despits and stuff, but you really don't need to make any. If you have a checking account paypal will transfer the money to your bank account for free.

You can also have paypal mail you a check, but like I said, you can just setup a free checking account which is a lot more convenient.

You also have to be 18 to sell stuff on eBay. You know how I know? I wrote an article about eBay in NM and had to write a correction on it.

I have no idea what it is, but the name "craiglist" alone sounds shaddy to me.......
