Now, tell me without using Wikipedia, which company owns the Hoover vacuum cleaner brand, unless you are incredibly ignorant.

OR, maybe just not everyone has a weird obsession with every single industry in the world.

I think it would be obvious to pretty much everyone that Hoover would own the Hoover brand, not Nintendo.

@Alterego-X yeah, that's a bad example!

It wasn't surprising that he didn't know Microsoft owned the x-box, loads of people don't know that. But the idea that Nintendo owned x-box is weird... people in Europe don't think of all consoles as a "Nintendo".

Also bear in mind that he's a 24 year old male...

lol I had my cousin over and he thought all Nintendo and Sega consoles were made by Playstation AKA Sony.. I told him "No.. just no"

Actually, I tried to look it up, but I'm not quite sure. Hoover was bought by Maytag, Maytag was bought by Whirpool, and later Whirpool sold it, but I lost it there. 

 

Anyways, that was not my point. Why the guy quoted by the op indeed seems a bit arrogant, (even though we only know one version), please, don't be elitists and believe that EVERYONE is supposed to know these things.
