Forums - Nintendo - New Super Mario Bros Wii is going to have A RED SPINE

Seriously?

I keep my games in boxes anyway so it wouldn't make a difference.... I can understand you having a preference for uniformity, for instance on my bookshelves I like it when a particular series of books is all from the same publisher so that they look the same, but I don't obsess over it (so if I can't find a book from a collection that is the right edition, I will buy whatever is there)

----

Of course there is an alternative for you if you are really bothered, I believe there are a few websites which specialise in game covers for sale, like for Okami:Wii I think a lot of people complained Capcom put a huge review score on the cover-art (or was it the original Okami on PS2?) so online you could buy different ones to put in instead.

Or just make your own if you are handy with photoshop and have some shiny paper.

I am collecting NES games too. All my favorites are in boxes (check my photos), and then I have all my loose cartridges. I don't plan on buying tengen and wisdom tree games. lol. I hate how they look different; its bullshit.

Yikes.   I've got 285 games and maybe 5 are in the boxes.  I kinda like having a wall of carts instead of a wall of boxes though.  Right now they're in drawers anyway.  I keep forgetting to take pix.

I haven't even bought 100 games total yet, and as a lot have been sold (All MegaDrive, All N64, some GC and 2 Wii) my current collection is only about 30 boxed games.

I have the loosest cartridge...

Lucky I have a toploader Nes so I can still play.

Ah well, it's not that bog deal, is it?
Last generation Nintendo did colored boxes for several games, like Mario Kart DD and Wind Waker.
I'm sure we'll see more for Wii in the furure too.

@Kylie... you could always store your PS3 cases so the top is the visible side (which on PS3 is like a clear plastic bubble isn't it?) Although come to think of it, the spine tells you what the game is, but the top doesn't, so nevermind

So paint them all unique colors! My collection is already non-uniform due to Okami. I'm okay with that though.

Huh?  Okami has a white spine, or at least the one I own does.

I like the idea of multiple colors, actually. Wish more Wii games did this (wish more games did it period, but all i have is a Wii)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

But maybe he means the PS2 version? Dunno if that was a special color.

In the UK (at least) there was a special boxart released for certain stores.  Wii version.

Really now? I got my copy of Okami Wii from the UK, but they didn't give me a special version! How dare they! >:(
